BIG BROWN TRUCK! BIG BROWN TRUCK!
You ever order something as a kid and just waited for it to come? Bet you did! And sure, you could wait for the mail to be delivered, but I think we all know that the best things didn't come by the mail, oh no. EVERYONE knows that the bestest things came by the Big Brown Truck! You (or your parents) ordered something and one day in the not to distant future, the Big Brown Truck comes down your street and you know that it's for you. It passes every other house on the street and people look out the window and think "That's not for me! The person getting something today is sure lucky!"
Then the deliverer of good, that man in the brown uniform, parks the Big Brown Truck, goes into that magical place behind the drivers seat and pulls out YOUR BOX. He comes up your walkway, and even though you want to act like you weren't waiting for him, he knows. Oh yes, you may think he doesn't, but he does. Then comes the hardest part: Waiting until the door is closed to open that lovely brown cardboard box. It's like Christmas, and while sure you know what's inside, it doesn't change the fact that it's for you and you have to open it, so DAMN IT, it's a present!
(This post was inspired by Big Brown Truck's latest delivery to me. And while it had enSue's name on it and it was only books, THEY ARE MY BOOKS! Books... FOR ME!)
I should make a question of the day: What's the bestest thing that Big Brown Truck gave you?
I bet enSue will say Playmobil or Barbie stuff.
Me? I've gotten lasers and jet engines. How cool is that? And sure, the laser was a lame LED laser that couldn't focus (first generation kit) and the jet engine... ok, that is still cool, but they are mine and Big Brown Truck gave it to me!

And thanks for mentioning me and my beloved Playmobil toys. I never got Barbie products via Big Brown Truck, but I did get crafting and yarn kits as presents from the BBT.
playmobil kicks ass.
I get excited any time a box comes for me now. :P
Best thing that I wasn't obsessively tracking online was flowers for my birthday from a friend that was unexpected. That rocked.
Oh yeah, I like the big brown truck (and the driver too!). He brings me my business supplies.
This just popped in my head -- I guess to squelch the dirty jokes I so want to make -- do you get the same driver for each delivery? We used to at our old house -- one of my father's friends -- but rarely ever at our current residence.
I took a screenshot. I'm so proud of you! This is a great post. **kisses**
Same here. The big brown truck for me was heading to the Sears catalog pick-up area. Loved that, though. Always got so excited when the Sears guy would emerge from the back with my item.
Congrats on the [tig] nod, too. :)To this day, I still adore receiving packages, even boring ones, like mail that my MIL sends. At least she covers the package with cool stamps. :)
